Charity Wiffleball tourney returns to WM on Saturday
The Sixth Annual West Monroe Charity Wiffleball Tournament returns to Biedneharn Sports Complex on Saturday, August 4. West Monroe Hugh School senior football player Reece Aultman and his family have organized the event since 2012 to benefit several local and national charities through the years.
The Smile Park at Kiroli Park, Two Penny Missions, St Jude’s Children Hospital in Memphis, and mission trips of various locals.
Jordan Boutwell of West Monroe will soon be going on a nine month mission trip to South America and the wiffleball proceeds will go to offset those expenses.
“It is just my way to help to give back to the community,” Aultman said. “As a Christian we are taught to be giving. It also means people come out and have fun. It is great to give back”
Pool Play begins at 8 a.m. and will last until 12 p.m. the teams advancing to the championship bracket will begin those games at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
The event is free to the public and concession stands will be open.
